Pitaya Festival

 Pitaya Festival

You should really check this out! Pitaya Festival, the event with the most soul on the island of Lanzarote.

Pitaya Festival unites great concepts such as Community, art, and joy; and was created in order to bring together all those who want to spend a relaxed day with friends in an idyllic outdoor need tor setting.

This cool festival is part of Laura Sanz's project, PITAYA COLIVING, who after having lived abroad for many years, saw the need to create a community and help her group of digital nomads and entrepreneurs. Laura is preparing a coliving space in Lanzarote for like-minded people who work remotely *wink wink* ;)  traveling around the world and, who have chosen the island as an anchor point, not only to share a coworking and coliving space but also to enjoy their time for leisure.

Pitaya Festival offers a day of complete disconnection, with several yoga sessions, the possibility of resting or taking a dip in the pool, eating a healthy brunch with local products, walking, and shopping at the Canarian Market and showroom, which gives to meet amazing local brands. And all this is accompanied by live music.

Meet the Pitaya Festival Team!

Four more entrepreneurs make up the Pitaya Festival team. Alba Balada, Marilou Carrieu, Lucía Entrialgo and Tania López.

Tania López is the founder of FAMARA SOUL, the island jewelry brand that seeks to inspire women to trust in her power. Together with her group of colleagues, Tania is committed to offering the Pitaya community a selected Market with the most creative brands of artists and entrepreneurs from the Canary Islands.

Lucía Entrialgo has been a champion of the creative industries since the beginning of her working career. She is a designer, entrepreneur, and restless mind, she is committed to the value of art, culture, and design as an engine of change in society. After living in several countries, she feels Lanzarote as a speaker of slow life and the Pitaya Festival as the meeting point for everyone to experience it firsthand.

Marilou Carrieu is a French yoga teacher. After years of working in marketing for international companies, she has decided to recycle herself to put the human being at the center of her activity again. She came to Lanzarote a year ago, and she has fallen in love with the magic of the island and has decided to stay.

Alba Balada came to yoga with the intention of toning her body and relaxing from the world of television where she worked. She very soon changed her whole life. She founded the Calma Campus, where she designs personalized quality of life and stress reduction programs, and she has her yoga studio (and much more) in Famara. Wherever she goes, she expands calmness, a term she coined herself, to train the ability to stay calm.

At the Pitaya Festival, Marilou and Alba propose a yoga workshop with a common theme. The idea is to offer two different and yet complementary types of yoga with the intention of delving into the limitations of the body and the mind.

The synergy of these five women together is unstoppable and the Festival is on its way to becoming one of the benchmark monthly meetings in Lanzarote.

The next PITAYA FESTIVAL will be on January 8, 2022.
