Welcome to the Blog!


Hi there! My name is Alejandro Delgado and I am a remote worker (and local) living on the beautiful island of Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain). The main reason I created this blog is that I want to share some of Lanzarote's most exclusive places to visit, experiences to experience, and emotions to feel. I will start each post by talking about a place, person, or object, then I will proceed by describing what it is, how it made me feel, and how much I recommend it (which will always tend to be a lot ;) ).

Tenesar and its Charco de Los Hombres

One of Lanzarote's less-known coastal towns, Tenesar is truly a beautiful little spot to appreciate Lanzarote's western coast. Part of the municipality of Tinajo, Tenesar contains quaint houses and narrow streets with cute names (fun fact: most streets are named after sea creatures).   A beautiful little place to get away from all of the noise and traffic of the island. Most Tenesar residents live in the town during the summer only, the number of barbecues, chairs, tables, and sunbeds represent the way of life in Tenesar... Great company, great food, and even better views! It doesn't stop there though! Zonzamas, Lanzarote’s ancient towns

 Can you imagine visiting Lanzarote before the 13th Century? Let’s rewind and go back in time together! The town of Zonzamas is an archaeological site of the pre-Hispanic culture of the Majos (the indigenous population of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura), located between the Caldera de Zonzamas and the mountain MontaƱa de Maneje, in the municipalities of Teguise, Arrecife and San BartolomĆ©.  It is a national historical-artistic and archaeological monument since April 27, 1979 and BIC since September 7, 2000.  The name Zonzamas or Sonsamas is applied to different geographical features in the area and corresponds to the king Majo of Lanzarote at the time when the Biscayan Ruiz de AvendaƱo visited the island around 1377, to whom the construction of this town is attributed so that the so-called "Cave or Palace of Zonzamas" would be his royal residence. The latter is documented in Le Canarien's chronicle and it is assumed that the last king of the island, Guadarfia, lived in this
